As a newly self-published author, I am finding out that the hard part of writing a book is really what comes after: marketing. At first, I created a website, then naively did nothing else and hoped that buyers would find my book. Next, I started doing research on the internet about using the internet to market a book. I found myself overloaded at that point with options and information. Information-overload was almost as overwhelming as a lack of any information. I found myself wandering down a winding road, branching off into this site and that and wondering if I was on the right road at all.
“55 Ways to Promote & Sell Your Book on the Internet” is a really great guide, organized into logical sections, which really helped me to figure out a strategy.
Bob Baker offers good solid advice (one of the best pieces of advice being to be patient and be in this for the long-haul, not to think of it as a big splash-on-the-scene-and-then-stop type of effort). I used a lot of his suggestions and refer back to the book when I have questions.
I recommend this book to anyone looking for advice on internet marketing! I ordered the e-book so I could start reading it right away.
Thank you Bob Baker!

Finally! Someone has written a book that translates the mumbo jumbo of Internet promotion into plain, easy-to-understand English.
“55 Ways to Promote & Sell Your Book on the Internet” is a nifty overview that even someone who is not a child can understand. The typical chapter is only 4 or 5 pages long, so the book does not go into mind-numbing depth. Instead, each chapter presents an intelligent summary of the technique or tactic, discusses the whys, touches on the hows, and points to resources for people who want to dig deeper into the subject. By the time you are finished with this very readable book, you’ll also understand the connections among all these interdependent facets of marketing.
Bob Baker has written a very useful book. I thought I knew quite a bit about web marketing, but I learned a lot from this book. I am going to recommend it to all my authors and clients and, in fact, to anyone who wants to sell books successfully on the Internet.
